Ke vší smůle
written by Michaela Knéblova, illustrated by Kateřina Volfová
The jury praised  this book project for it’s originality of the story and the strong, detailed  illustrations where text and image go beautifully hand in hand. The jury liked how the book unfolds surprisingly a fresh and new version of family life. With this book Michaela and Kateřina create a very unique and wonderfully inventive universe of its own which the jury would love to see finished.

The Collector
written and illustrated by Elisabeth Mossbauer
This book impressed the jury with its charming story and it’s very personal way. The images show a strong playful quality of visual ideas, with a beautiful  combination of muted and bright colours. The jury found that the black ink sketches already showed a great quality and accomplishment that some of them could be used as final drawings in the book and would wonderfully match the finished painted pages.

Závěs
written and illustrated by Dagmar Urbankova
The skillful use of textiles, both for the illustrations as well as for the concept of the whole book, was received by the jury with great admiration.
This book plays wonderfully around the idea of a zoom-out book. The choice of technique, idea and execution of the first couple of finished pages are excellent and convinced the jury to support this book project.
